TRAMPOLINE 101 A Trampoline can not only be a fun activity for kids and adults, but a great source of exercise as well. Safety should be first and foremost. CHILDREN SHOULD ALWAYS BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT. Q: Can trampolines be left outside year round? A: Most trampolines are weather resistant and or waterproof. This means that they will not be damaged by rain or snow. It is important to allow your trampoline to fully dry prior to use as the jump surface will be slippery. Q: What is the difference in trampoline shapes? A: Trampolines come in many sizes and shapes. Basic shapes include round, square and rectangular. Round trampolines are the most popular designs and typically the one you would fine in a backyard. Round trampolines tend to bounce the jumper in the center of the trampoline. Square and rectangle trampolines are more performance based. Because the springs are parallel to one another, they typically provide a great bounce. These types of trampolines are often found in gymnasiums. Q: How can I make my trampoline safer? A: Most trampolines can have a safety cage or enclosure added. A trampoline enclosure can prevent falls off of a trampoline and limit any injuries. Please consult the manufacture to ensure the proper safety enclosure is used. Q: Do I need any accessories for my trampoline? A: You do not NEED any specific accessory for your trampoline. There are however plenty of trampoline accessories available to expand the fun such as volleyball nets, basketball hoops, or tents. Other accessories that are sold are covers and ladders. Q: Do trampolines require any maintenance? A: Prior to each use, you should inspect your trampoline for any loose parts, missing springs or debris from falling branches or limbs. |
